Jamie Muscat, aka Chunkyluv, was born and raised in the inner west Sydney, Australia. Almost from the womb he was influenced by a wide variety of music, from his mother’s Portuguese fado (Portuguese traditional folk music) all the way through to AC/DC.
Chunkyluv’s 20 year obsession with guitar, hip hop and world music has lead to his unique sound that artists are gravitating towards. His ability to open up new sounds and rhythms derive from his never-ending obsession with music. If there’s nothing to do for the day, he’ll spend 12-14 hours in the studio creating new sounds and experimenting. Constantly adding to his arsenal. For when you’re in the studio with him.
Once Chunkyluv had completed his JMC Academy degree in Audio Engineering & Sound Production he leaped into producing. Today he has helped produce tracks with acts such as MOZA, Timi Temple and triple J icon, L-Fresh The Lion.
His latest studio in Artarmon has been specifically designed to induce a creative vibe for the recording artist.
